Hello and Welcome, all my stamping friends! Today’s blog post, Rub A Dub Dub – 3 Hippos In The Tub, uses the Stampin’Up!® Hippest Hippos stamp set and Hippo Dies from the New Sale a- bration catalog from 1 July – 31 August 2022. Each of these can be earned separately as free products with a $50 order before shipping and tax. There are so many dies with this set that it really stretches out what can be done. Snorkel, goggles, glasses, umbrella, boats and much more.

Rub A Dub Dub – 3 Hippos In The Tub

Measurements:

• Basic White cardstock:
  • Cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″ for card base
  • Cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″ and run through the Stampin’ Cut Embossing Machine with the Into the Clouds Embossing Folder for the third layer
  • Use a 3/8″ x 1 3/8″ scrap for stamping the Sentiment and Hippos, then die cut
• Balmy Blue cardstock:
  • Cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ for second layer
  • Use a 1 5/8″ x 5/8″ scrap for behind the Sentiment and for Water Splashes
• Use Foil Specialty Paper for die cutting the tub
• Finally, Garden Green cardstock for grass

Recipe:

• Start with the Basic White card base.
• Take the third layer Basic White cardstock running through the Stampin’ Cut Emboss Machine with the Into the Clouds Embossing folder. Use Blending Brushes and Balmy Blue Ink and go over the embossing almost to the bottom. Then use Crumb Cake Ink and Blending Brush for the ground.
• Stamp the Hippos using Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock, color using Smokey Slate, Highland Heather, Petal Pink and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends and die cut them out.
• Die cut Balmy Blue cardstock for the Water Slashes, Garden Green cardstock for the Grass, and Foil Specialty Paper for the Tub.
• Adhere the Hippos and Tub using Stampin’ Dimensionals and glue. Adhere the Grass and Water Splashes with glue. Add Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a little bling to the embossed layer. Add the Sentiment and adhere to the Balmy Blue second layer and finally to the Basic White card base.
