Dressed To Impress & Handsomely Suited Stampin’Up!®

Hello and Welcome! My name is JaNette Howard and I’m an Independent Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator in Burleson, Texas. Let’s continue this weeks theme, Father’s Day cards! Today’s Father’s Day card, Dressed To Impress & Handsomely Suited, is for the Carpenter/Gardner Dad. I’m featuring the Dressed To Impress and Handsomely Suited stamp sets, but they can also be used for any occasion and for anyone. This is one of my favorites because I love all things denim.

Firstly, start with Basic Gray cardstock, cut at 9″ x 7 1/2″ and score at 3 3/4″. Secondly, for the inside use Basic White cardstock cut at 8 3/4″ x 3 1/2″. Thirdly, for the shirt, using the soon to retire Well Suited Designer Series Paper (DSP), cut at 3 3/4″ x 4″. Fourthly, use Basic White cardstock for the collier, neck and legs and color the neck & legs with the Ivory Stampin’ Blends. I used the Layering Circles Dies and Suite & Tie Dies. Lastly for the overalls, use Misty Moonlight cardstock with Misty Moonlight ink for highlights, Suite & Tie Dies and Rectangle Stitched Dies and for the Copper Foil buttons and All Dressed Up Dies for the buckle slider.

For the carpenters pencil, I also colored a 1/8″ strip of Basic White cardstock using Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends with a line using Basic Black Stampin’ Blend. I adhered everything using Multipurpose Glue.

  1. These cards are all awesome! As you know I am partial to overalls. That card was super cute and you even put pencils in the pocket! Great.

    1. Thank you, I had fun creating the overalls. I also made a screwdriver in one of the pockets lol. I guess I didn’t put that in my description.
