What’s Cookin’ Sweet As A Peach Stampin’Up!®

Hello and Welcome! My name is JaNette Howard and I’m an Independent Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator in Burleson, Texas.  This week’s blog post, What’s Cookin’ Sweet As A Peach, focuses on cooking and features the What’s Cookin’ and Sweet As A Peach stamp sets. I decided to change things up a bit and use a slimline card, because that’s how I roll. For the counter top, I simulated marble by squigging different colors on vellum, adding alcohol and brushing to effect a look that fun to do. I’ll describe in more detail below.

Start with a Basic White card base, cut at 7 1/2″ x 9″ and scored at 3 1/4″. Take In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut at 2″ x 9″, Vellum cardstock cut at 2″ x 9″, Stampin’ Blends (Ivory, Bronze, Cinnamon Cider and Crumb Cake) and 91% alcohol to blend the colors around to mimic marble countertops. I love this fun technique because of the unique patterns and many backgrounds that I can create.

Stamp the pans, bowl and salt & pepper grinder with Misty Moonlight classic ink. Then stamp the veggies and chief hats in Memento Black Ink, color with Stampin’ Blends (Granny Apple Green, Light Crumb Cake & Real Red) and fussy cut. The Cutting Board is die cut. Then stamp the rolling pen & spoon on Soft Suede cardstock and die cut. Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of Basic White cardstock, size to fit.

I also used the Sweet As A Peach Bundle to stamp the small peaches and then die cut. To make the stove, use scraps of Basic Black and Basic Gray cardstock. Finally, use Multipurpose Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere everything to the card.

This is such a fun set that can be combined with many others that make the possibilities endless. What Chief or Cook wouldn’t love to receive a card like this?
