Paper Pumpkin May 2021 – Stampin’Up!®
Hello and Welcome! My name is JaNette Howard and I’m an Independent Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator in Burleson, Texas. The Paper Pumpkin Kits are all inclusive kits, everything you need to create cards/projects. Paper Pumpkin May 2021 recognizes ball season, not just baseball, but softball too. This kit is so special to me, because playing ball is so prominent in my family. Everyone of us has either played, coached, or umpired. Many of us have done all three!
These kits are different every month and a great way to build your stash of stamps and ink spots. You can make as shown for quick and fast cards or you can add extra cardstock, gems, ribbon, etc. to step them up and make them your own. For the kits you need to sign up by the 10th of the prior month. For instance, to get the Paper Pumpkin July 2021 kit, you would have to order by June 10, 2021.

I choose to make 5 alternative cards with this kit and still have 4 left to make as the kit shows or changes them up. All the cards are standard A2 size cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″.
Paper Pumpkin May 2021 – Hey Batter Batter

Firstly, I choose Bumblebee cardstock, for the base with a layer of Real Red cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and ran through the Stampin’ Cut Emboss Machine using the Bark 3D embossing folder. Secondly, I cut the letters using the Playful Alphabet Dies on Night of Navy cardstock with Foam Adhesive Sheet attached to the cardstock. Thirdly, I fussy cut the ball player from the kit and used the Natural Textures stamp set (HOST). Finally, I stamped the background, cut a small circle, drew the laces using Stampin’ Write Markers – Real Red and added Dimensionals to the back. This card brought back so many memories to me, reminding me of the chatter on the ball fields.
Paper Pumpkin May 2021 – Rockford Peaches

The card base, baseball, base, bats, and all star are all die cut from the kit. I added Misty Moonlight cardstock using the Bark 3D embossing folder, then stamped & die cut the peaches from the Sweet As A Peach Bundle in Pale Papaya ink. Finally, I used a dauber inked in Calypso Coral for added depth. I loved the movie A League of Their Own, not just for Geena Davis and Tom Hanks performances, but also those of the many wonderful actors who gave their all to make this movie by the late Penny Marshall.
Paper Pumpkin May 2021 – All Star

The card base, baseball, base, bats, and sentiments are die cut from the kit. I used Night of Navy cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″, Basic White cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″ and stamped the hats in Real Red ink. You’re The Best and All Star sentiments came from the kit’s stamp set and stamped in Night of Navy ink. I stamped using the small drip from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set in basic gray. I created sunflower seeds by improvising with used scraps stamped in different colors. Finally, I added Soft Suede ink for dirt around the plate and Granny Apple Green ink for the grass. I had to really think this one through.
Paper Pumpkin May 2021 – Softball Season!

The card base, second layer red/yellow, bat and All Star sentiment are die cut from the kit. The kit also included the hat stamp, which I stamped with Real Red ink on Bumblebee cardstock and fussy cut. Using the dies from Layering Circles Dies, I cut the softball for the girls and used the Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers to draw the stitches. The Daughter sentiment came from It’s A Grand Kid stamp set, masked off.
Paper Pumpkin May 2021 – Batter Up!

Practically everything used for this card came from the kit contents, except a few of the sentiments, Granddaughter & Grandson from the A Grand Kid stamp set, Grandma from the Shark Frenzy stamp set, and Sister from the April 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit.
