Hello and Welcome to our Stamp It Group – New Years Theme Blog Hop! My name is JaNette Howard and you are visiting my blog – Let’s Get Inky – JaNette Howard.  Whether you’re starting from my blog or another blog on the tour, thank you for letting me share my card with you today. Today’s post features a spinner card using the Stampin’ Up!® Curved Occasions stamp set & Light The Sky stamp set.

Measurements – Stamp It Group – New Years Theme Blog Hop!

  • Starry Sky cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″ & 3″ x 3/4″
  • Basic White cardstock cut two at 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • Holographic Trio Specialty Paper cut two at 2″ x 2″
  • Simply Elegant Trim cut to 4″ length
  • 1 3/4″ Circle Punch or Deckled Circle Dies

Instructions:

  • Punch or die cut the circle Basic White cardstock, then adhere to Starry Sky card base
  • Stamp skate images using Memento Black ink & color using Stampin Blends:
    • Blueberry Bushel
    • Starry Sky
    • Daffodil Delight
    • Basic Black
    • Gray Granite
  • Stamp the disco ball using Versamark ink on Holographic Trio Specialty Paper
    • sprinkle Silver Embossing Powder
    • set with Heat Tool & fussy cut.
  • Stamp sentiment on Starry Sky cardstock using Versamark ink
    • sprinkle Silver Embossing Powder & set with Heat Tool
    • then punch out using Curved Label Punch
  • Taking the Simply Elegant Trim, sandwich between both disco balls and adhere using Tear-n-Tape
    • adhere to Basic White cardstock with stamp skates and then to Starry Sky card base
  • Twirl the Disco Ball several times and close the card
    • when opened, the recipient opens the card to see the globe spin
  • Stamp disco ball using Versamark ink on inside Basic White layer
    • sprinkle Silver Embossing Powder & set with Heat Tool
    • then stamp sentiment from Light The Sky stamp set using Starry Sky ink
    • adhere to inside card

  1. Oh, you hit me right in my GenX heart!! Not only my HS colors, but I had roller skates just like that….with pink fur pom poms on them, lol. My old skating buddies would love this, as well.
