Best Whale Watching Is Alaska
Hello and Welcome, all my stamping friends! Today’s blog, Best Whale Watching Is Alaska, features the Stampin’Up!® Whale Watching Stamp Set and Cherry Patterns Embossing Folder. Whale Watching while in Alaska is a site to behold and never gets tiring. This is card 1 of 2 cards.
Measurements – Best Whale Watching Is Alaska
- Boho Blue cardstock cut at 11″ x 4 1/4″ and score at 5 1/2″
- Basic White cardstock cut three at 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Misty Moonlight cardstock cut at 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
- Start by stamping the whales using Versamark ink on Basic White cardstock. Sprinkle Black Embossing Powder and heat set with Heat Tool. Let cool and fussy cut the images.
- On Basic White cardstock, stamp the waves using Boho Blue ink, Versamark ink and White Embossing Powder. Then set with Heat Tool.
- Stamp the mountain scene using Smoky Slate ink.
- Use Blending Brushes and Balmy Blue, Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy inks to color the background.
- Die cut Misty Moonlight cardstock using the Deckled Rectangle Dies then emboss using the Cheery Patterns Embossing Folder. You will use the leftover rectangle on card 2, coming very soon!
- Adhere background piece to the Boho Blue card base and then die cut frame on top using your favorite adhesive. Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to whales and place on card front to prop up.
Stamp image on inside Basic White cardstock and adhere to inside.
