Hello and Welcome, all my stamping friends! Today’s blog, Mischevious Scotties and Red Gingham, features the Stampin’ Up!®Christmas Scottie Bundle and Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper (DSP). This combo can definitely be used for many more occasions than just Christmas. But for today, I am choosing a Christmas card for our furry friends, who are busy unwrapping a package, right now in my mind.

Mischevious Scotties and Red Gingham – Measurements

  • Evening Evergreen cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ and score @ 3 3/4″
  • Basic White cardstock cut:
    • one at 8 1/4″ x 3″
    • one at 8 1/4″ x 3 1/2″
    • and extra for stamping
  • Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon cut approximately to 7 1/2″
  • Gingham Cottage DSP cut at 8 1/4″ x 3/4″
  • Metallic & Shimmer Speciality Paper
  • Slimline Envelopes

Start by stampin the three Scottie dogs using Memento Black ink. Punch one and fussy cut the other two with your Paper Snips. Die cut the bow using the Metallic & Shimmer Speciality Paper (Evening Evergreen). You can also just stamp using the Evening Evergreen ink & Wink of Stella. On the Basic White cardstock (8 1/4″ x 3″), stamp the checkered image & sentiment using Evening Evergreen ink & snowflakes using Balmy Blue ink.

Adhere the ribbon, in a squiggly manner, using Glue Dots and Dimensionals on all the Scottie dogs, adhering over the ribbon. Attach the bow to one Scottie using Glue Dots and for the other two use Red Rhinestones Basic Jewels. Adhere the Gingham Cottage DSP strip (8 1/4″ x 3/4″) to the stamped Basic White card and adhere to the Evening Evergreen card base.

For inside the card, stamp the ribbon image around the outer edges using Real Red ink. Stamp the Scottie dog using Memento Black ink and adhere inside the card base.
