Hello and Welcome, all my stamping friends! Today’s blog post, A Pleasant Little Note, features the Stampin’Up!® Painted Pheasant stamp set and Rings of Love Designer Specialty Paper (DSP). This is a great stamp set and DSP for anyone who loves the outdoors or birds and can be used any time of the year, but especially Fall. I’m just hoping for some cooler weather. I love the burst of colors this card brings with anticipation for Fall.

A Pleasant Little Note

Measurements

• Evening Evergreen cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″
• Soft Suede cardstock cut at 5 1/4″ x 2 1/4″
• Rings Of love DSP cut at 5″ x 3 7/8″
• Basic White cardstock cut at 5″ x 3 1/2″ & 5 1/4″ x 4″
• Shimmery White cardstock cut at 4 1/2″ x 3 3/4″

Assembly

Start with the Evening Evergreen cardstock as your base. Then take Soft Suede cardstock with the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folder and run through the Stampin’ Cut Emboss Machine. Adhere to the base and offset to the left with the Rings of Love DSP on top. Then die cut the Basic White cardstock (5″ x 3 1/2″) with the Deckled Rectangles Die and run through the Stampin’ Cut Emboss Machine.

Coloring

Stamp the images using Soft Succulent & Crumb Cake ink. For the oak leaves use Stampin’ Write Markers – Poppy Parade, So Saffron and Soft Succulent colors. Wrap the Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine around and adhere to Rings Of Love DSP. Stamp the Pheasant using Crumb Cake ink & stamp off on the Shimmery White cardstock for water-coloring. Inks used for water-coloring are Evening Evergreen, Real Red, Poppy Parade, Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, So Saffron, Starry Sky and use Water Painters.

Wrap-up

Fussy cut, add Stampin’ Dimensionals to prop out and place on card front. Stamp sentiment using Crumb Cake ink and add Brushed Metallic Adhesive Dots to finish.

For inside the card, stamp the images from the Painted Pheasant stamp set on the Basic White cardstock (5 1/4″ x 4″) and adhere to inside of card.
