The Blue Water Lily of Sri Lanka
Hello and Welcome, all my stamping friends! For today’s blog post, The Blue Water Lily of Sri Lanka, features the seventh card of the series using the gorgeous Stampin’Up!® Wonderful World Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Stamp set Bundle. This bundle, from the July-August 2022 Sale-A-Bration catalog, is only available while supplies last. I’ve used the title of the flower if you would like to look it up. The Blue Water Lily of Sri Lanka is an interesting Wiki read. There are still four flowers that I haven’t featured, so there’s still plenty of other options you can explore with this amazing DSP.
The Blue Water Lily of Sri Lanka – Measurements:
- Thick Basic White cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 2 1/8″ & 4 1/4″ for card base
- Wonderful World DSP cut two at 5 3/8″ x 2″ & one at 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
- Basic White cardstock cut two at 4″ x 3 1/4″
- Vellum cardstock cut at 4″ x 3 1/4″
Recipe:
Start with card base and adhere the DSP layers. Die cut both Basic White cardstock pieces & Vellum cardstock using the Layering Diorama Dies. Use Balmy Blue & Pool Party Stampin’ Blends to color the Vellum. Next stamp using the Adventurous Journey stamp set for the waterlily pads and color with Old Olive & Calypso Coral Stampin Write Markers. Fussy cut the flower image from the Wonderful World DSP and use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere to the Vellum & die cuts. Adhere the flower to the front fold panel only so the card will open.
I hope you have enjoyed the flower cards and give them a try. Which is your favorite flower? I like them all but this lily is my favorite.
