Hello and Welcome, all my stamping friends. Today’s blog post, Wildlife Wonder In Grassy Grove, is a shadow box card using Stampin’Up!® Wildlife Wonder & Grassy Grove stamp set, Grove Dies and New Horizons Designer Series Paper (DSP). It’s a really quick & easy fun-wow card to make. I love the outdoors and animals. This card reminds me of our last trip to Alaska. It is one of my favorites, because I got to see almost all the wildlife that I had hoped for, and yes I saw several Grizzlies from afar.

Wildlife Wonder In Grassy Grove

Supplies:

• Grassy Grove stamp set
• Wildlife Wonder stamp set
• Grove Dies
• New Horizons DSP
• Vellum cardstock
• Basic White cardstock
• Soft Suede, Ivory/Bronze, Evening Evergreen, & Old Olive Stampin Blends
• Sponge Daubers
• Cinnamon Cider & Soft Suede Classic ink pads
• Adhesive Sheets

Vellum – Color – DSP

Work with the Vellum first. I started with Vellum cardstock and Blends and scribbled on the vellum with different colors. Then use 91% alcohol and dab it to move & blend the colors, see supply list above for my choices. You can choose any combination. It’s a fun technique to create your own paper. I stamped my bear and fussy cut with snips. I then chose my background from the New Horizons DSP and cut it to 4″ x 4 1/2″.

Wildlife Wonder In Grassy Grove – Assembling the Card

I adhered an Adhesive Sheet to the back of the vellum and attached it on the card front. For the card base, I used Basic White cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″ and score at 1/2″, 5 1/8″, 5 3/4″ & 10 3/8″. Then run through then run through the Emboss Machine using the Grove Die. Add your DSP and bear to the inside and seal the edge. Then you’re done.
