Star-Crossed Beauty Of Friendship Stampin’Up!®

Hello and Welcome! My name is JaNette Howard and I’m an Independent Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator in Burleson, Texas. Today’s card, Star-Crossed Beauty Of Friendship, features the Beauty of Friendship Bundle, new Star-Crossed Embossing Folder (available 8/3/21), and Beauty of Trees dies. This bundle can be used for many occasions. I know what you’re thinking, but it’s starting to look a lot like Christmas, even in July. When I first saw this set I envisioned a Blue Spruce Tree and Christmas. So this card is what I came up with.

Begin with a Basic White card base, or any color you choose, cut at 7 1/8″ x 5 1/2″ and score on long side at 1″, 2″, 3″ and 4″. Cut a second piece at 3 1/8″ x 5 1/2″ and adhere to the front rectangle. Take Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper (DSP) for layers, cut at 3 1/8″ x 5 1/2″, 1″ x 5 1/2″ and 2″ x 5 1/2″. Use the new Star-Crossed Embossing Folder after it becomes available on August 3rd.

For Star-Crossed on the Blue DSP, take a scrap of Basic White cardstock, blending brushes and create the dirt and grass around what I’m calling a Blue Spruce Tree. First stamp the tree in Early Espresso ink and then the background image in Shaded Spruce ink. For a more detailed look, stamp with Versamark ink, sprinkle with White Embossing Powder and set with Heat Tool. Stamp the other two trees onto Early Espresso and Crumb Cake cardstocks with the same color and the leaves in Old Olive ink. Finally, adhere everything with Multipurpose Glue and prop up the Blue Spruce and sentiment using Dimensionals.
