Hello and Welcome! Today’s card, Butterfly Brilliance & Brilliant Wings, I’m sharing what I actually did for a zoom class on Sunday. This Butterfly Brilliance Stamp and Brilliant Wings Dies Set Collection will be available March 2, 2021 in my store, see Shop With Me link above.

Butterfly Brilliance & Brilliant Wings – Preparation

This card is all about the gorgeous papers and butterflies! Start with a standard A2 fold card and add a pop-up, simple really. Use Basic White cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″, then scored at 5 1/2″. To make the 2nd layer, I chose Just Jade cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″. Then I used the Greenery embossing folder and ran it through the standard size emboss cut machine. For layer 3, I cut a strip of the Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ designer series paper (DSP) at 7/8″ x 5 1/8″.

Time to Make the Butterflies

For the Butterflies, I used the DSP to cut out my butterflies and various colors of cardstock and vellum for the detailed wings. Using the Natural Touch DSP size 12″ x 12″ cut at 2″ x 5 1/8″, I used the dies in the set and cut the bricks out and embossed the cross hatch. To finish, I also added Enamel Dots and Wink of Stella.

Butterfly Brilliance & Brilliant Wings – Inside

For inside of the card, I added a pop-up for another butterfly. Using Basic White cardstock cut at 3 7/8″ x 10 1/2″, I applied Dimensionals for the pop-up. You can vary depending on what butterfly size you want for the pop-up. Just play with it until you get the effect that you desire. I also added a detailed butterfly at the bottom for an added bonus.
