Fragrant Forest With Wonder & Cheer
Hello and Welcome, all my stamping friends! Today’s blog, Fragrant Forest With Wonder & Cheer, reminds me of our 3 week vacation in Alaska. We met up with my sister & brother-in-law after being on the land tour portion for 11 days. I’m not fond of heights to say the least, but everyone wanted to take the tram in Juneau. So, I sucked it up and went along, lol. It was absolutely gorgeous when we got to the top and walked a few trails. For this card, I’m combining the Stampin’ Up® Fragrant Forest stamp set & Above It All bundle for Card 1. Card 2 will be along in two days.
Measurements – Fragrant Forest With Wonder & Cheer
- Shaded Spruce cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″
- Basic White cardstock cut three at 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Silver Foil Specialty Pack for the tram hook
- Real Red cardstock cut at 2 1/2″ x 1″
- Vellum cardstock cut at 2 1/2″ x 1″
Start by stamping the large Fragrant Forest stamp using Shaded Spruce ink and stamp off. Then use the Pecan Pie marker for the tree trunks and watercolor pencils under the trees. Next stamp the line image using Smokey Slate ink. Stamp the sentiment on Basic White cardstock in Shaded Spruce ink and die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies. Die cut the tram/gondola from Basic White cardstock and color using Smoky Slate & Real Red Stampin’ Blends. Die cut the layering piece for the tram/gondola using Real Red cardstock adhere the two pieces together add a piece of Vellum behind the windows. Then color with Stampin’ Blends Azure Afternoon, adhere to back of tram/gondola, and trim using Paper Snips. Die cut the cable parts for the tram/gondola and adhere to back. Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the tram/gondola & sentiment and adhere to card. Lastly, adhere large stamped image to Shaded Spruce card base and then adhere the die cuts to that.
Stamp the inside layer and adhere.
