Chile Ristras On Yellow Stucco

Chile Ristras On Yellow Stucco

Hello and Welcome, all my stamping friends! Today’s blog, Chile Ristras On Yellow Stucco, I’m sharing another card using the Stampin’ Up!® Taco Fiesta stamp set and Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. Living in Albuquerque, NM for 9 years, we became addicted to Hatch Green Chile, not only for eating but also the decor. After moving back to Texas 28 yrs ago, it wasn’t easy getting our green chile fix, lol. Thankfully, for several years now it is readily available. Thank you H.E.B. While this card is a little putsy to create, it is well worth the effort. If you like fussy cutting and coloring.

Measurements – Chile Ristras On Yellow Stucco

  • Poppy Parade cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″
  • Daffodil Delight cardstock cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • Basic White cardstock cut one at 5 1/4″ x 4″ and one at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″

Start by stamping all the Chilies and color using Stampin’ Blends Poppy Parade, Real Red, Mossy Meadow and Granny Apple Green. Then fussy cut using our wonderful Paper Snips, which I highly recommend. Stamp the sentiment using Memento Black ink. Next either flag the ends with your snips or use the Banner Pick a Punch. Take the Daffodil Delight cardstock and the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder and run through the Stampin’ Cut Emboss Machine for the Stucco Look. Use 18 large Chilies and 2 tiny Chilies. Using the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack, fray it to have the look of the Ristra hanging.
