Old Man Willow Reflected by the River

Hello and Welcome, all my stamping friends. For today’s blog post, Old Man Willow Reflected by the River, I chose the Stampin’Up!® Willow Tree Bundle and Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set. I chose the reflection technique for this card. Growing up, my Grandma had a Weeping Willow. When I saw this bundle, I knew that I had to have it. I’ll be sharing other cards using the bundle in the days and weeks ahead.

Measurements:

  • Tahitian Tide cardstock, cut at cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″
  • Basic White cardstock, cut two at 4″ x 5 1/4″ for front & inside and a scrap for the sentiment

Start with Blending Brushes and Tahitian Tide classic ink and color the background from top and bottom. Then use Old Olive & Crumb Cake classic ink to stamp the ground. Stamp the top image for the trunk using Early Espresso ink and the leaves using Parakeet Party ink. Then stamp the bottom image on a Silicone Craft Sheet or a Window Sheet then flip over for the reverse image. The sentiment came from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set.
