Hello and Welcome, all my stamping friends. Today’s blog post, Your Biggest Sports Fan, features the Stampin’Up!® Your Biggest Fan Stamp Set and Hey Sports Fan Designer Series Paper (DSP). This is really a fun wow-factor card for anyone who loves sports. I needed a birthday card for a dear friend who loves baseball!!! I cased the idea from my upline Tami White.

Your Biggest Sports Fan

Start with a Basic White card base, cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 2 1/8″ on each end, which is your basic gate fold card. For the card front, cut 2 strips of Hey Sports Fan DSP at 2″ x 5 1/4″. For the Belly Band, use Basic White cardstock cut at 11″ x 1″. Die cut the Large Ticket with Basic White cardstock, stamp the Saying, Banner and Ticket Strips. For the inside, use the Baseball Stitched DSP, cut one at 5 1/4″ x 4″, (2) 5 1/4″ x 2″.

To make the inside squares, use a Red & White DSP large strip cut at 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″, Night of Navy cardstock cut at 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″, and Very Vanilla cardstock cut at 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″. Using the stitch die, make the impression of laces and then highlight with the Real Red Stampin Write Marker. Go over them so they stand out. Also die cut a small ticket and stamp Happy Birthday and emboss in White ink.

For the Explosion part of the card, cut an 8″ x 4″ piece of Hey Sports Fan DSP and score at 2″, 4″, 6″ along the long side. Score from each corner to the score line at 4″. I used my Paper Trimmer to score.
