Peaceful Cabin – Peaceful Place Stampin’Up!®
Hello and Welcome! My name is JaNette Howard and I’m an Independent Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator in Burleson, Texas. Today’s card, Peaceful Cabin-Peaceful Place, features the Stampin’Up!® Peaceful Cabin Bundle and Peaceful Place Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). Both of these sets comes from the new Mini Catalog 3 August- 3 January 2022. This is a winter snow scene to keep you cool this summer. I hope you enjoy!
Peaceful Cabin – Peaceful Place
Start with a Basic Gray card base, cut at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″. For the second layer, I used Smokey Slate cardstock and cut to 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″. The third layer uses the Peaceful Place 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP), cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″. Adhere all layers together to the card base using Multipurpose Glue and/or Stampin’ Dimensionals. Use Basic White cardstock and Smokey Slate ink to stamp the cabin, fence, and fox with the stamps from the Peaceful Cabins Bundle. Stamp the smoke from the chimney directly on the DSP. Then, use the Cabin Dies to run the cabin through the Stampin’ Cut Emboss Machine and adhere to card front with Multipurpose Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Cut a 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White layer for inside of the card and stamp sentiment and trees from the Peaceful Cabin Bundle.

JaNette, I love your cards. I would love permission to CASE them if that is okay. I also love your watermark. Can you tell me how you did that? I am a hobby demonstrator and have tried to use a watermark but not successfully. Have a great day!
Ceresa, I use Add Watermark free app. Thank you for asking to CASE my cards. Yes you may CASE my cards, please give me credit if you don’t mind. I enjoy sharing my creations and very happy you love them. Best of luck with watermark, I just played with it and tried to follow directions lol. Have a wonderful day!
Absolutely stunning, I’m changing my Christmas card last minute this year. Thank you, well done!
Thank you so much.
I have a question, I’m trying to make this card but not sure about the cabin cut out, my cabin doesn’t cut clean. I’m not sure if my die is bad or if I’m doing something wrong. I even put wax paper on it and added card stock and put it thru multiple times. I’m stamping the cabin and then running the cabin die witih whiye paper is that how you did it? Mine sure doesn’t look like yours! ☹️
Without being able to see exactly what’s going on it’s hard to give a true answer. Sometimes you need to add an extra shim or two or angle your die not going straight in each machine is different. Are your plates warped? Have you tried not the normal method of die cutting & flip it cutting up instead of down?
